Welcome to the sweetest summer camp ever.
Heading into year two of this longtime-dream made manifest…. Sweet Songbirds is a week-long day camp offered in my private studio/gallery in Madrid, NM. This camp empowers middle and high-school age girls to enjoy exploring their creativity through music, writing and creative play with like-minded peers. In our daily work we will:
- use writing prompts
- listen to our favorite music
- write poetry
- discuss moving emotional content out via creative form
- learn about the basics of song form, composition, and performance
-play with various intruments from piano, guitar, ukelele and banjo
- compose at least one song from beginning to end
- dance to good music
- go for walks and talk
- play around in my jewelry/metalsmithing studio
- maybe take an ice cream break ( or two…)
- laugh, alot
And finally, at end of the week…
- share our final songs in end of week performance for parents
No musical experience is necessary.
No instruments are necessary (although campers are welcome and encouraged to bring whatever ones they do play).
Camp runs 9:30-4:30 daily, with optional early/late hours if needed. Please reach out to me to discuss this. Carpool will be encouraged for parents and I can help get that conversation rolling.
Campers will provide their own pack lunch. I will provide some healthy snacks daily.

TO REGISTER, please complete the form below. The camp is $285 each week, with a sibling discount rate of $225 for each sibling added on. A deposit of 50% is required to hold your spot, and final payment of balance is due 1 week before camp begins. Payment can be remitted via Venmo, credit card, cash or check.
